Catch up on RootsTech
RootsTech is an annual conference that focuses on the latest technology available to boost family history research, organisation and sharing. The third conference in the series will take place at Salt Lake City in March 2013.
Naturally, it will not be possible for most of us to attend the next conference in person. However, you can readily access free podcasts of sessions that were held in 2012. These include a total of 18 presentations, covering topics such as effective database search techniques, publishing family history online, the use of YDNA in genealogy and “Do I trust the cloud?”
By no means all of the material appearing on the RootsTech site is highly technical. There is plenty to interest newcomers to family history and to broaden the horizons of researchers who do not yet use much of the associated technology.
