GRO User Group

The following announcement has been received from the General Register Office.  Please note that requests to attend should be sent to anthony.birkett@ips.gsi.gov.uk and not to the Federation.

The next FHS User group meeting(s) are due to take place in February 2012.

We are proposing to hold two meetings in February, one in London on 23rd February and one at the General Register Office in Southport on a date to be agreed, but still in February.(I will confirm this date shortly). The idea for having two meetings is to give opportunity for societies from across England and Wales to attend. These meetings are, of course, subject to their being sufficient attendees for them to go ahead.

We have provisionally planned the meeting in London (2 Marsham Street SW1P 4DF) to commence at 1pm and finish at 4pm.

Unfortunately we are unable to provide any refreshments for this meeting, but there is facilities to purchase tea/coffee etc at the venue.

I would appreciate if you/your society could let me know if you wish to attend one of these meetings, and if so, which one you are likely to attend (Southport or London). Please feel free to pass this onto any other FH Societies who may be interested in attending and again highlight that they should respond to me if they are interested.

Once I know the level of attendance for these meetings, I will send out confirmed invitations.

Thank you for your continued support in attending our forums, and I look forward to meeting you again in the future.
If you have any queries regarding any of the above, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards
