FFHS Projects
I have two announcements to make with reference to the FFHS. They are not consequential to each other but are linked in that the operation of FFHS Projects has changed.
- The Executive Committee has transferred the responsibility for Projects to the FFHS Services Company, this is to allow the Services Company to operate freely in the market to maximize income from projects for our societies.
The long running National Burial Index (NBI) is an on-going project and responsibility for it has been transferred to the Services Company. For general enquiries on purchasing costs, distribution, discounts, please email or telephone 0151 645 2059.
Any other enquiries should be directed to the following email address These will be answered as quickly as possible and emails about specific projects will be forwarded internally to the appropriate person.
The above process was agreed at an Executive Meeting earlier this year and will be reviewed after being in place for one year. Any suggestions for new projects should also be sent to - At a meeting of the FFHS Executive Committee held on the 19th of November 2011, it was announced, with regret, that Ann-Marie Wilkinson had tendered her resignation as Projects Officer (FFHS) and also as a Director of FFHS Services Ltd. for personal reasons.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ann-Marie for her hard work as an Executive Trustee, a Director of the Services Company and our Projects Officer. She has given outstanding service and loyalty not only to the FFHS but to her local family history societies in the South West, and to Somerset & Dorset FHS in particular. I know that Ann-Marie will continue with her support of local societies and on your behalf I would like to thank her for her hard work and wish her well in the future.
Following this announcement we do not have anyone in post as Projects Officer at this time.
