User Group Forum

Certificate Services is the business unit within the General Register Office (GRO) that is responsible for the issue of birth, marriage and death certificates. The General Register Office became part of the Identity and Passport Service in April 2008.

Certificate Services has, for many years used User Groups and Forums to:

• improve existing channels of communication and build up good relationships between GRO and its customers

• provide a suitable forum for discussion/comments on initiatives currently ongoing and those to be introduced in the future

• provide customers with the opportunity to comment on aspects of the services we offer.

Family History Societies and groups nationwide have a key role to play in providing feedback and improving the service we offer.

We would like to invite a representative from each Society to attend the next User Forum which is planned for Wednesday 17 June 2009 at Westminster House, Portland Street, Manchester, M1 3HU. As a member of the forum your representative will have the opportunity to provide opinions and offer feedback on a variety of topics.
