Federation to lose Administrator

Good afternoon

I am writing this short posting to inform you that at the end of last month I received an email from Maggie LOUGHRAN one of our joint administrators that she was giving me 3 months notice of her contract as a Joint Administrator.

I have today accepted her resignation and she will be finishing at the end of January 2009.

I know that you will all have been in contact with Maggie over many years and she has always been an enormous help to everyone involved in family history and in particular those involved with FFHS.

I personally will miss her enormous wealth of knowledge and my job will be that much more difficult as a result,

Although she will be leaving the central organisation of FFHS, she will still be involved in family history and in particular she has set up and organised our AGM and GM at The National Archives next year. She is also involved in organising a major event that will be hosting our GM next August and I am sure you will be in contact with her about this event and many other matters in the future.

I would ask you all please not to forget Maggie and keep in contact with her, especially as she is so far away from the UK. Emails to her will continue via until she leaves at the end of January and I am sure she will be happy to let you have her email address after that date.

Thank you Maggie for all your hard work, drive, enthusiasm and backing for the Federation, I wish you all the best for the future and hope that we can meet again when you are next in the UK
