Welcome to the FFHS Directory of Speakers

This Directory is intended as an aid to anyone seeking to engage a speaker on family history or a related topic. It can be searched on Name of Speaker, Talks on a particular topic or by Talks given by speakers from a particular county.

Each speaker’s personal listing gives their contact details, fee (where known), titles of the talks offered and the society or group who recommended the speaker for inclusion in the directory. The date when the details were last updated is also shown. You should contact the speaker to confirm fees etc before final planning as these will change more frequently than other details.

The Directory is currently maintained on behalf of the FFHS Education Officer by the Assistant Administrator and any requests for addition or amendments should be sent to Samantha Bourne by email to with the subject line "Directory of Speakers".

Finally, a review of the Directory is currently ongoing, we are very aware that the Directory is only as good as the quality and up to date nature of the details contained within it, all speakers listed are being contacted, however, if you are a speaker, or you know of a speaker, whose details have changed we would be pleased to hear from you.

If you wish to nominate a speaker then please contact FFHS at the above email address.
